How do I soothe a crying baby who’s been fed, changed, and burped?

The holy “I tried everything” cry. Sometimes babies just… need to cry. But you can try motion (rocking, walking, babywearing), white noise, a warm bath, skin-to-skin, or going outside.

Your arms and patience will be tested. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Take turns with a partner if you can. Put baby down safely and take a breath if you need to.

Crying doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means you have a baby. And babies are unpredictable little gremlins sometimes.
