First: if it’s more like a dribble or gentle waterfall and not projectile, it’s probably normal. Newborn stomachs are tiny and immature—spitting up happens.
Burp often, hold baby upright after feeds, and avoid overfeeding. You might also try smaller, more frequent feeds. If baby’s gaining weight and happy, it’s more of a laundry problem than a medical one.
BUT—if there’s choking, poor weight gain, or green vomit, call your pediatrician. Better safe than covered in puke again.
