Will breastfeeding help me lose weight faster?

Technically, breastfeeding burns extra calories. Realistically? You’ll also be eating like a ravenous teenage linebacker. So, maybe yes, maybe no.

Some moms drop weight quickly. Others hold onto a few extra pounds until they wean. Both are normal. Your body just made a human—it’s not broken, it’s just busy recovering.

If your main motivation to breastfeed is weight loss, fair enough—but don’t pressure yourself. You’re not on a deadline. Nourishment > numbers.
